Sim Tech Academy (STA): A three day course for a maximum of 12 participants
This course is designated for individuals who are in a novice to advanced beginner sim tech role in their institutions or have been asked to run simulations.
This three day intensive Simulation Technician Training course will provide a hands-on overview of the variety of tools, equipment and troubleshooting techniques involved in high-fidelity simulation. Various audiovisual options and what kinds of additional support will be necessary to integrate simulation into different curriculums and facilities will be discussed.
This training will have a small portion of didactic training but will mainly focus on hands-on practice and review of the variety of setup and troubleshooting techniques necessary for successful simulations.
The training program is held at a different Portland area simulation lab each day.
Participants must attend all three days and are responsible for their own transportation.
